Year 6 Transition 2020

A message from the Lower School Transition Team

Due to the current circumstances, we are unaware of when we will be returning to school.

At this point, a lot of the traditional transition activities cannot take place. In its place, over the coming weeks, we will be putting together lots of information for you and your child which will be updated on a regular basis.

It is our aim that all pupils joining our school community feel confident about the many changes and new routines they will experience. We want to reassure you that we are keen to make the transition a smooth, exciting but reassuring process.

We look forward to meeting you all very soon.

Summer School Provision 2020

It is with deep regret that the Summer School Provision 2020 has been cancelled for this year. We sincerely hope that the activities and communications we have planned over the coming weeks will go some way to make up for the restrictions we are all facing this year.

As guidance is not yet available, we cannot give a definitive outline of the Transition that will take place when we can welcome students onto the school site.

A programme of transition activities will be put in place that will provide the experiences students will miss due to current restrictions and ensure the start of their John Taylor High School journey is one that brings security, care and ensures their sense of belonging to their new school community.

More information will be communicated on this when available.
