Thank you to everyone who attended the 'Welcome to Lower School' event this week - every child has the best opportunity to be happy, healthy and successful when family and school work closely together. Mr Markwell, Head of Year 7, has also been out and about speaking with some of our new Year 7 students to see how they have settled in!
Here's what Mr Markwell had to say.
Please find the presentation material from our Year 7 Welcome to Lower School which took place on Tuesday 10th Sept.

For KS3/KS4 Personal Development will now be taught on a 6-session rotation each Monday morning and by the following staff teams across the year:
- Health and Wellbeing,
- Careers; Your future
- Relationships and Sex Education
- Staying safe offline and online
- Celebrating equality and diversity
- Right, Responsibilities and British Values
This change is to ensure students are being taught in expert teams.
KS5 will continue to be taught by their form tutors who have a wealth of knowledge and experience teaching the KS5 PD Curriculum.
Here is an overview of what is being taught in PD for each year group for the first rotation, along with some signposting for further support and information for parents:

We are extremely proud of student Ellie Smith who has been selected to start in tomorrows game for Leicester Tigers. After completing her A-levels a year ago at JTHS, her hard work has paid off and a year later she has achieved her dream with her first run out at Welford Road tomorrow.
Ellie's family wanted to share the news with JTHS staff due all the support she recieved from our Sixth Form team and school community! Here's what Ellie said last year when she collected her A-level results.
