All - Wellbeing Award -Parental Feedback required please

As you will be aware from previous correspondence we have sent out, JTHS are working hard to attain a Wellbeing Award for Schools.

As part of the process it is really important that we have the chance to receive feedback on our current provision of wellbeing at JTHS. This allows us the chance to respond to feedback and help to inform what we need to implement and change going forward.

Part of this is to gain parental feedback and we do require at least 50% of parents to kindly fill in the form. If we could please ask as many of you as possible to fill it in, prior to next Friday 9th December, we would be very grateful.

Please find attached a link to the "Wellbeing Award" parent evaluation. Thank you to those parents who have already filled it in.

Thank you for your support and cooperation with this.

Year 5 and 6 Indoor Athletics festival

On Tuesday 22nd November we welcomed four Primary schools to John Taylor, to take part in an Indoor Athletics festival. This was the first time in a few years that the Primary pupils had participated in the sports hall as a school and against other schools. Forty students from Walton, Needwood, All Saints Rangemore and Thomas Russell Junior schools attended. They participated in obstacle courses, running events and also field events.

The sporting Young Ambassadors who helped had done almost no leadership prior to the festival. In the afternoon, they set up the equipment, ran the various events and understood which events were happening at different times. At the end some of the Young Ambassadors ran a relay race in front of the cheering Primary pupils.

WOW cards were individually written by the John Taylor pupils and handed out at the end of the session, congratulating the Primary pupils for making the event such a success.

All who participated, enjoyed themselves.

But the Young Sporting Ambassadors who helped in many different ways grew in confidence as the event progressed.

Well done to all who helped make the event run so smoothly.
