Weekly Information - Friday 9th October 2020
We are pleased to announce that school has subscribed to the ebook platform provided by Wheelers Books. All students are able to access these ebooks, free of charge from the LRC page of the school website:
www.jths.co.uk/lrc
Students can download the ePlatform by Wheelers app to their phones or other electronic devices to access this new service.
They will need to use their network login name, for example 000001Smith, for both their username and password to select and download ebooks to read. The system allows users to change the font, background colour and size of text to aid different reading preferences. Ebooks will be loaned out for two weeks, and will automatically be returned once that time period has expired.
Students can still access a "Click and Deliver" service from the LRC, again from the LRC page of the school website if they prefer the printed book!
We hope students will find this access to over 1300 titles a valuable addition to the service offered from the LRC at JTHS.
If you have any queries or problems accessing this new service please email Mrs Collier at [email protected] or [email protected]

Dear Parents/Carers
We have a vacancy for a Parent Governor - please see the attached information.
Regards,
Mrs K Cochrane
Head of School.
- Please remember that we are a nut free school. Parents/carers, please consider this when providing your child with snacks.
- No students should be sharing or swapping food, or buying food for other students, due to the current situation and the risk of allergic reaction.
- Lanyards should be considered part of school uniform. Please try and remind your child to bring these each day and reiterate the importance of wearing them.
Many thanks,
Miss Sears.
Revision guides specifically written for the AQA Geography specification which we study are available to purchase via ParentPay for £4. Once paid please ask your son/daughter to ask their teacher and they will give one to them. Thanks - Miss Starkie.
