Please be mindful of parking in the village when dropping off/collecting children from school. Please respect the residents of the village by not parking in restricted areas, blocking drives or parking on the kerb which restricts pathways.
Thank you for your co-operation.

On behalf of the PTA, we wish to inform you that the PTA will be holding their AGM on Thursday 17th September at 7pm. Due to the current situation, the meeting will be held virtually via Teams. All parents are invited to attend should they wish to. You will need to have a Teams account set up to access the meeting link, which is below.
Please can you ensure that your video and microphone are muted/turned off unless you are speaking.
Go 4 Schools is our online portal where you can access to all information about your child. This includes assessment results, timetables, attendance, behaviour and homework. It is also where you access termly progress reports. Information about how to access this system can be found in the attached document.
A reminder that we are now able to offer the Go4Schools app which should make use of the system far easier. At present you can see information regarding student timetable, attainment, attendance, behaviour and homework.
For more information, including how to download the app, please access the parent guide on the Go4Schools website:
Closing Date: 30 Nov 2022
We are in the process of updating our Safeguarding Policy in line with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2020). The draft policy is available on the JTHS Website. As part of this process, schools are advised to inform parents of their legal duty to assist colleagues in other agencies with child protection enquiries. We are also advised to inform you that should there be significant concerns about child protection or safeguarding, we have a duty to make a referral to Families First Services or other relevant agencies.
We also have a specific page on our website with information related to Safeguarding and Online Safety. This includes support websites and a downloadable document with helplines and apps for supporting children and young people.
We have been made aware of disturbing videos being shared on social media. Recently, this has been confirmed via multiple national media outlets. We are asking parents to ensure appropriate controls are on student devices and that careful consideration is given to which social media platforms children are accessing.
There is further information on Online Safety on our Safeguarding page on the JTHS Website.
We have been informed by Staffordshire County Council that another round of walk-in testing will be taking place in Burton on September 10th between 2pm and 7pm at St Chad’s Community Centre on Hunter Street.
