  • UNDER 16 BOYS-3RD
  • UNDER 13 BOYS—Champions
  • UNDER 13 GIRLS—Runners Up

Competing in the Staffordshire Schools’ Table Tennis Championships for the first time, our teams performed exceptionally well.  In the Under 19s championship the team of Tom Reynolds, Nathan de Giorgi, Jason Dierker, and George Robson drew their final against Thomas Alleyne’s School of Uttoxeter but became champions by winning more games in the match than their opponents.

At Under 16 Boys level, the very young team of Ben McHoul, Cameron Tringham, Cameron Jones and Jack Montgomery played against boys who were two or three years older than them but managed to win two matches against Thomas Alleyne’s and De Ferrers B to finish third.  All four boys played well above their expectations and gained a great deal of confidence from the experience.

At Under 13 Boys, Ben McHoul, Cameron Jones, Jake Meacham and Khurram Rashid won all of their matches comprehensively by a 4-0 margin to become the County Schools’ champions.

Finally at Under 14 girls level, Charlotte and Emily Barratt along with Abbie Talboys finished runners up losing to Oldfields School, Uttoxeter in a very close final.

So thanks to lots of hard work and a thriving and competitive school table tennis club our pupils proved worthy ambassadors of the school at the first time of competing in these competitions.
