On Friday 30 September the Pastoral staff took the Year 7 students to Lea Green Outdoor Education Centre near Matlock for a fun filled ‘bonding’ day. The aim of the day is for the students to get to know even more students from their year group alongside working together to communicate and resolve problems.
The weather was kind (until the very last minute) and all of the students worked well within three different activities. Throughout the day there were specific team games with the emphasis on working as a team, low level ropes courses where students were required to work to support a partner, and the very popular ‘predator prey’ where the students were split into packs of ‘animals’ and hunted each other across the entire site.
A great day and I would like to thank the Year 7 students for getting involved so positively.
