We received 250 brand new OCR anthologies for the GCSE exams in June.

After the exam we were told that the English department didn’t want them as they were changing exam boards and teaching specifications. OCR didn’t want them back!!

The exams team didn’t have the heart to throw them away so the invigilators set about trying to find someone who may have use for them.

Out of all of the Y11 students, they found Paul Moughtin-Leay whose family are involved in a charity in Malawi.

With thanks to the family, the Chimbowe School in Malawi have now received the first books where they are being put to good use and the  photograph above shows Paul handing over the books during his visit in the summer.
