I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students, parents, governors, teachers and friends who supported our annual presentation evening in July.

The new layout of the hall provided the perfect back drop for this year’s presentation evening which recognised the achievements and progress of our pupils in academic, sporting and musical fields and also those areas of school life reflective of our ethos.

The evening was eloquently introduced by Kieran Mylrea, Kathleen Oates, William Gray and Rosie McNeilly. The guest speaker was ex-student Stephen Carter, of Hawk-eye Innovations. His presentation was truly inspirational. Stephen’s good humour and natural warmth in describing his incredible journey from John Taylor High School to running a multinational business left guests enthralled. Stephen urged students to be ambitious and have a zest for life. He explained the importance of trying new experiences, particularly as our students embark on a new life at university. He spoke fondly of his memories of our school and we thank him for taking the time out of his busy schedule to join us.

The evening was a fitting celebration of the rich tapestry of school life experienced by our pupils and reflects the diversity of their achievements. Thank you to everyone who made this a truly inspirational evening.
