On Tuesday 7th June two Y8 Young Sporting Ambassadors attended Mosley Academy Primary School in Anslow to take an assembly which was all about the forthcoming European football championships.

George Malkin and Charlie Bird were successful in their application to become Young Ambassadors during the autumn term. One of their assignments was to plan and prepare a presentation to go into the local primary schools and talk about a subject of their choice. The two students decided that they would like to talk in the assemblies about the European Football Championships in France. Lots of preparation and fact-finding eventually led to a presentation; the boys visited Richard Crosse Primary School, Kings Bromley and enjoyed it very much. However they realised that there was a lot more that could be added to their presentation to make it more interesting and informative, so the work began.

Mosley Academy reaped the benefits of their experience and the boys confidently stood and talked about their favourite passion: football. The other female Young Ambassadors are talking about the Olympic Games and looking forward very much to visiting All Saints Rangemore Primary School in the near future.

It is hoped that the Young Ambassador roles can continue next year and give similar experiences to other pupils lower down in the school.
