Prevent

At John Taylor High School we teach students about the risks of radicalisation and extremism through our Personal Development Curriculum. More information can be found on our curriculum pages.

All staff access the Government Prevent Training and renew this every 2 years. In addition, local information in shared through our Safeguarding communication channels and regular staff updates.

We utilise the Government Self-Assessment tool for Prevent and the Government recommended template to risk assess the prevent risks in school and in our wider community. To support this, members of the safeguarding team attend local training opportunities co-ordinated by the local Safeguarding Children’s board.
